Beate Sampson
Beate Sampson (* 1960 as Beate Krause) is a German music journalist , presenter and jazz singer .
Career
Beate Krause grew up in Nuremberg. At the age of 16 she became the singer of the band Carol of Harvest from Fürth , on whose album Carol of Harvest she sang in 1978. Later she sang in pop bands such as “Joker” (1983) or the “Cosmic Dance Club”, but also with jazz musicians Thomas Fink (1985), Peter Fulda and Wolfgang Haffner .
Since 1986 she has formed the cabaret vocal trio "Trillergirls" with Biggi Reyscher and Andrea Fleißner, which existed until 2002 and performed at the ZDF " Großer Preis ", among others . She also led her own quartet Straight Talk , sang with the Trevor Coleman Group and with Bettina Koziol's vocal jazz project Nada . She also performed with Lizzy Aumeier and Heinrich Hartl and with Joe Bawelino . In the last few years she belonged to the group Rosebud and was on the road with a project with the songs of Joni Mitchell .
Since 1984 she has been active as a reporter and later a presenter for Bayerischer Rundfunk ; at that time she started at his studio in Franken, where she prepared festival reports, among other things. Since 1997 she has been in charge of the program Jazzstudio Nürnberg and its music productions; in the following year she was one of the voices of the Bayern 2 cult show Adventure of Everyday Life . Since 2003 she has followed Joe Kienemann , together with Henning Sieverts and Roland Spiegel, in the jazz editorial office, where she now also produces the stage series in Studio 2 .
