Benedikt Wilhelm von Ahlefeldt

Benedikt Wilhelm von Ahlefeldt , also Bendix Wilhelm von Ahlefeldt (* August 11, 1678 , † February 10, 1748 ) was the master of Gut Kaden , major and district administrator .

Life

His parents were Wilhelm von Ahlefeldt (* November 30, 1646; † November 30, 1717) and his wife Anna Emerentia, born von Rumohr (* September 8, 1656; † May 4, 1721).

Ahlefeldt was the master of Kaden and Klein North Sea near Kiel . He was a major in the Dragoons in Holstein and later district administrator. Ahlefeldt was one of the first of the next Hans Rantzau the serfdom abolished on his estates.

In 1717 he became canon in the Lübeck cathedral chapter at the presentation of the cathedral dean Johann von Wickede . On 14 November 1727 he resigned upon payment of 4400 Reichstalern plus expenses in favor of the more minor Carl Friedrich von Claus home on the stipend .

In 1704 he married Magdalena von Rantzau (1681–1754), the daughter of the secret councilor and knight of the Danebrog order Cai von Rantzau auf Neuhaus, and his wife Catharine Margaretha von Blome . She brought 70,000 thalers dowry into the marriage. Together they had five children:
