Benzoximate is a chemical compound belonging to the group of oximes . It was developed by Nippon Sōda in the early 1970s as a non-systemic acaricide .

Extraction and presentation

Benzoximate can be obtained by reacting ethyl 3-chloro-2,6-dimethoxybenzohydroxamate with benzoyl chloride .

use

Benzoximate was used as a contact and feeding poison against spider mites in fruit and citrus cultivation.

Admission

No plant protection products containing this active ingredient are permitted in the EU or Switzerland .

It was approved in the FRG from 1978 to 1980.
