Bernd Hahne
Bernd Hahne (born June 3, 1944 in Moers ; † May 16, 2017 in Düsseldorf ) was a German racing driver .
Life
Bernd Hahne was the brother of Wilhelm Hahne , Hubert Hahne , Norbert Hahne and Armin Hahne as well as the two sisters Christel and Gerda (mother of Jörg van Ommen ).
After the family business was sold, he was a Ferrari representative at Auto Becker and since 2002 a representative for Ferrari and Maserati at Lueg Sportivo . He has been retired since 2007 and has been a representative for McLaren in Düsseldorf since 2011 , in particular for the McLaren MP4-12C .
Bernd Hahne died on May 16, 2017 in Düsseldorf.
Racing
Hahne drove his first races on a Honda 360 at the age of 19 . After participating in the 1988 Mille Miglia in a Ferrari 166MM , Hahne competed in the German Shell Cup for historic touring cars in 1989/90 and only achieved first and second places in seven races.
Bernd Hahnes greatest successes were the vice-European champion at the historical European touring car championship in an Alfa GTA (1992) and the win of the Ferrari-Challenge twice (1993/96). In 2005 he was the overall touring car winner at the 15th AvD Historic Marathon 400 on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring . From 1997 to 2003 he celebrated successes in the Maserati History Challenge and in the Ferrari History Challenge.
He took part in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring six times ; He started three times in the historic 24-hour race Circuit Paul Ricard and achieved 1st place in his class and 2nd place overall.
Hahne drove, among other things, Ferrari 250 TDF and 166 MM , Maserati 200SI , 300 and 450S , Austin Healey 3000 and Porsche 911 2.5 ST .
