Bernd Lippold (born January 4, 1957 ) is a former German soccer player .
Athletic career
Even before his 20th birthday, Bernd Lippold had played in the second highest division for the first time in the 1975/76 league season of GDR football with the 2nd team of BSG Wismut Aue , for whom the defender had been on the ball since 1965 . After the separation of the 2nd teams of the major league clubs and communities from regular league operations in the summer of 1976, Lippold belonged to the team at the Veilchen that was represented in the separately held junior league .
At the beginning of the 1980/81 season in the league, the electrician moved into the first division squad of the three-time GDR champions . On the 24th matchday of the preseason , the 1.78 meter tall defensive force had already made his point game debut in the Auer's 1st team against BSG Sachsenring Zwickau . In the 67th minute he was substituted on in the 2-1 home win in the 67th minute for Hans Schykowski in the derby.
Bernd Lippold said goodbye to the East German elite league after a total of 33 matches on the last day of the 1983/84 season when he lost 3-0 away at FC Hansa Rostock . In the following season , in which the Auer under coach Hans-Ulrich Thomale reached fourth place in qualifying for the UEFA Cup , the defender was no longer used.
In the joint season preview from fuwo - Die neue Fußballwoche and Deutschem Sportecho for the 1985/86 season, Bernd Lippold appeared at the Auern as a departure towards BSG Wismut Gera , but in the second division's squad neither as a newcomer nor as a member of the squad. According to Hanns Leske , after his one-year guest appearance at Wismut Gera, the former top division player was still active at BSG Elektronik Gera, with which Lippold was promoted to the Gera district league in 1988 , as well as at FSV Zwickau and VFC Plauen .
