The Berne is a river in the Lower Saxony districts of Oldenburg and Wesermarsch west of the Lower Weser .

The river is 11.4 km long, is created in the Hude area by the confluence of the Kimmer Bäke and Brookbäke and flows into the Ollen in the village of Berne .

Hydrologically, the watercourse is 44.4 km long and begins at 42 m above sea level. NHN with an unclassified source brook of the Kimmer Bäke, classified as an upper course, and continues in Berne into the Untere Ollen , to flow as the Alter Huntearm through the Lichtenberger Siel into the Hunte , 5½ km before it flows into the Weser .

Within the village of Hude, the Berne is also known as the Huder Bach . Then it runs more or less parallel to the Hude – Blexen railway line . To the north of Hude, the Stedinger Canal brings the water from all the streams of the Geestrand to the Berne, west of the Hörspe, which is now a meaningless tributary of the Ollen . In the village of Berne it flows into the Ollen as a left tributary, which in turn flows into the Hunte .
