The Brookbäke (Hasbruch) is a river in the Lower Saxony district of Oldenburg .

The approximately 11 km long stream flows in the communities of Ganderkesee and Hude . It has its source west of Bergedorf and flows in a northerly direction through Steinkimmen and past the Falkensteinsee before it passes under the Autobahn 28 . The Brookbäke then flows through the Hasbruch from south to north to unite with the Kimmer Bäke zur Berne , popularly known as the Huder Bach , to the southwest of Hude .

The entire stream was severely affected by expansion measures. To the north of the autobahn, it was completely straightened and deepened. The nature conservation foundation of the district of Oldenburg acquired the land along the Brookbäke between the autobahn and the Hasbruch, and between 2006 and 2008 extended the Brookbäke stream with new meanders . Further meanders emerged on the hunting lodge meadow in Hasbruch.

In 2010 a 12.5 m high wooden observation tower was completed in Hasbruch, from which one receives an overview of the new course of the Brookbäke in the hunting lodge meadow.
