Bernhard Britz

Bernhard Rudolf Britz (born March 27, 1906 in Skänninge ; † May 31, 1935 in Floda ) was a Swedish cyclist and national cycling champion .

Bernhard Britz won a national cycling title ten times. Twice, in 1930 and 1933, he was Swedish road racing champion , eight times in individual time trials over different distances (50 km and 100 km). In 1933 he also won the most important Swedish road race around Mälaren (Mälaren Runt). In 1932 Britz started at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles and won bronze in the road race and in the team championship with Arne Berg and Sven Höglund . He works for the IFK Enskede association in Stockholm.

In 1935 Bernhard Britz had a fatal accident in a bike race when he collided with a truck.
