Bernhard J. Deubig
Bernhard Josef Deubig (born June 13, 1948 in Speyer ; † February 28, 2018 ) was a German judge and politician ( CDU ). He was Lord Mayor of Kaiserslautern from 1999 to 2007 .
Life
After graduating from high school in Kaiserslautern in 1967, Bernhard Deubig studied law at the Saarland University and at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . In 1972 he passed his first state law examination in Freiburg im Breisgau, and in 1975 the second state examination in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
From 1975 to 1983 he was a judge at the Kaiserslautern regional court and press officer for the regional court district. From 1983 to 1989 Deubig was a judge at the Palatinate Higher Regional Court in Zweibrücken .
Deubig lived in Kaiserslautern since 1950. He had been a member of the KDSt.V. since 1967 . Carolus Magnus zu Saarbrücken in the CV and since 1970 member of the KDSt.V. Merowingia zu Kaiserslautern in the CV. From 2010 to 2011 he was chairman of the CV -auverband Pfalz.

Bernhard Deubig was a member of the city council of Kaiserslautern from 1984 to 1989 as well as deputy chairman of the CDU city council group. On September 1, 1989, he was elected mayor of the city of Kaiserslautern and construction department, from 1999 he was responsible for the building administration of the city of Kaiserslautern with the areas of urban planning, city surveying, building police, building construction, civil engineering, green space office, fire and civil protection.
On March 7, 1999, he was elected Lord Mayor of Kaiserslautern. Bernhard Deubig held the mayor's office from September 1, 1999 to August 31, 2007. From 1994 to 2014 he was a member of the District Assembly of the Palatinate District Association .
He held numerous mandates, such as a member of the supervisory board of 1. FC Kaiserslautern or a member of the foundation assembly of the TU Kaiserslautern Foundation . He was a member of the board and chairman of the committee for building, environment and transport of the Rhineland-Palatinate City Council .
