The Bewer is a left or northern tributary of the Ilme . It flows exclusively in the municipal area of the city of Dassel .
course
The Bewer rises in the middle of the Elfas and is the essential drainage of the same. Between mixed wooded elevations, the stream bed soon leaves this small ridge and initially runs in a south-easterly direction on its southern edge. On the outskirts of Portenhagen , the Bewer changes direction to flow to Lüthorst to the southwest. The stream then passes Deitersen and finally flows into the Ilme at Markoldendorf .
Flora and fauna
In and on the Bewer, endangered species have been identified with the European crayfish and the marsh marigold . A renaturation has been carried out to protect this ecosystem .
