List of grape varieties

The white wine variety Bianchetta Trevigiana is cultivated in the Italian region of Veneto . Mentioned in writing since the 16th century, it was first described by Pietro Caronelli in 1788. More precise descriptions were given by GB Zava in 1901 and by Dalmasso in 1937. The variety is approved in the provinces of Belluno and Verona . At the beginning of the 1990s, the area under vines was 209 hectares .

The grape variety is a natural cross between the white wine variety Durella and the almost extinct red wine variety Brambana .

It takes place as a side entrance to the places DOC - wine Montello - Colli Asolani . Despite similar synonyms, it is not related to the Vernatsch variety .

Ampelographic varietal characteristics

  • The shoot tip is open. It is slightly hairy with white wool. The whitish-green young leaves are only hairy like a cobweb.
  • The medium-sized leaves are almost pentagonal, mostly three-lobed, more rarely five-lobed and only slightly cupped (see also the article leaf shape ). The stem bay is open in a U-shape. The blade is bluntly serrated. The teeth are medium-sized compared to the grape varieties.
  • The cone-shaped grape is medium-sized, shouldered and loose berries. The round berries are thick-skinned, medium-sized and green-yellow in color.

Maturity: approx. 35 days after the Gutedel and belongs to the grape varieties of the late third maturation period (see the chapter in the article grape variety). It is a variety of the noble grapevine ( Vitis vinifera ).
