The diocese of Catarman ( Latin : Dioecesis Catarmaniensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese located on the island of Samar in the Philippines , with its seat in Catarman . It includes the Northern Samar Province .
history
Pope Paul VI founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Quae ampliores on December 5, 1974 from ceding territories from the dioceses of Bacolod and Calbayog and it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Cebu as a suffragan diocese.
On November 15, 1982, it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Palo as a suffragan diocese.
