The Diocese of Chios ( lat. : Dioecesis Chiensis ) is one in Greece located diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .

It was founded in 1400 and belongs to the ecclesiastical province of Naxos-Tinos.

Covering an area of ​​4,116 km², it covers the administrative regions of the North Aegean with the East Aegean Islands ( Lesbos , Chios with Psara ; Samos and Ikaria with Fourni and Thymena ) and the North Aegean island of Limnos .

Today the diocese has no clergy and is co-administered by the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Naxos-Tinos , who is also the Apostolic Administrator of Chios.

The cathedral is dedicated to St. Nicholas , who is also the patron of the diocese.
There is still a Catholic church on Lesbos and Samos.
