The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Naxos, Andros, Tinos and Mykonos ( Latin Archidioecesis Naxiensis, Andrensis, Tinensis et, Myconensis ) is one in Greece located Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church based in Xinara on the island of Tinos . It includes the islands of Naxos , Andros , Tinos, Mykonos as well as Delos , Paros , Antiparos , Amorgos and the Lesser Cyclades .

history

Naxos was founded at the beginning of the 13th century under the Venetian crusader regiment of Marco Sanudo as a diocese of the Duchy of the Archipelagos and raised to an archbishopric in 1522. On June 3, 1919, the dioceses Andros , Tinos and Mykonos were united. Since then, the archdiocese has encompassed the Aegean Cyclades islands of Naxos , Tinos, Andros and Mykonos .

On April 29, 1994 Nikólaos Printésis was appointed Archbishop of Naxos-Tinos, and on July 4, 1994 he was appointed to his office. The Archbishop has the title of Metropolitan of the Aegean Sea and is also Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Chios .

The cathedral is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, who is also the patroness of the diocese.
There are Catholic churches on Tinos, Naxos , Paros and Mykonos.

Suffragan dioceses are Chios , Syros , Santorini and Crete .
