The diocese Crateús ( Latin Dioecesis Crateopolitana , Portuguese Diocese de Crateús ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Crateús in the state of Ceará .
history
The diocese of Crateús was on September 28, 1963 by Pope Paul VI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Pro apostolico from cedings of territory from the dioceses of Iguatú and Sobral . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Fortaleza as a suffragan .
