The diocese Isangi ( Latin Dioecesis Isangiensis , French Diocèse d'Isangi ) is in the Democratic Republic of Congo situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Isangi.

history

The diocese Isangi was on June 14, 1951 by Pope Pius XII. established with the Apostolic Constitution Enascentium inter from cessions of territory of the Apostolic Vicariates Basankusu , Lisala and Stanleyville as Apostolic Prefecture Isangi . On July 2, 1962, the Isangi Apostolic Prefecture was founded by Pope John XXIII. elevated to the diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Decessorum Nostrorum .

The diocese of Isangi is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Kisangani as a suffragan .
