The Bistum Juticalpa ( lat. : Dioecesis Iuticalpensis ) is in Honduras preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Juticalpa .

history

The diocese Juticalpa was on March 6, 1949 by Pope Pius XII. Erected from the cession of territory by the Archdiocese of Tegucigalpa as a territorial prelature Inmaculada Concepción de la Bienaventurada Virgen María en Olancho . The territorial prelature Inmaculada Concepción de la Bienaventurada Virgen María en Olancho was raised to the diocese on October 31, 1987 by Pope John Paul II and renamed the diocese Juticalpa . The diocese of Juticalpa is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Tegucigalpa as a suffragan .
