The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kalibo ( lat. : Dioecesis Kalibensis ) is the Philippines located Roman Catholic diocese based in Kalibo . It includes the province of Aklan .

history

Pope Paul VI founded it on January 17, 1976 from cession of territory of the diocese of Capiz , which was simultaneously raised to the rank of metropolitan archbishopric, to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan diocese.
