The Bistum Lugazi ( lat. : Dioecesis Lugasiensis ) is in Uganda preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Lugazi . It includes the districts of Kayunga , Buikwe and Mukono .

history

Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Quando ad aeternam on November 30, 1996 from cession of territory by the Archdiocese of Kampala , to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan diocese. Matthias Ssekamaanya was the first local ordinary until November 4, 2014 .
