The Roman Catholic Diocese of Maroua-Mokolo ( lat. : Dioecesis Maruanus-Mokolensis ) is in Cameroon situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Maroua .

history

The diocese of Maroua-Mokolo was on March 11, 1968 by Pope Paul VI. from the cession of territory of the Diocese of Garoua as Apostolic Prefecture Maroua-Mokolo established. On January 29, 1973 the Apostolic Prefecture Maroua-Mokolo was by Paul VI. raised to the diocese and subordinated to the archdiocese of Yaoundé as a suffragan . The diocese of Maroua-Mokolo was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Garoua as a suffragan on March 18, 1982.
