The Roman Catholic Diocese of Ndola ( Latin Dioecesis Ndolaensis , English Diocese of Ndola ) is in Zambia situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Ndola .
history
Pope Pius XI founded the Apostolic Prefecture Ndola on January 8, 1938 from cessions of territory from the Apostolic Prefecture Broken Hill . On January 3, 1949, she was raised to the rank of Apostolic Vicariate with the Apostolic Constitution Si in aliqua .
On April 9, 1959, it lost part of its territory to the establishment of the Solwezi Apostolic Prefecture . On April 25 of the same year it was raised to a diocese with the bull Cum christiana fides , which was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Lusaka as a suffragan diocese. A partnership with the German diocese of Limburg has existed since 1982 .
