The Roman Catholic Diocese of Palmira ( lat. : Dioecesis Palmiranus , span. : Diócesis de Palmira ) is an in Colombia situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Palmira .
history
The diocese Palmira was on December 17, 1952 by Pope Pius XII. Erected from cessions of territory by the Archdiocese of Popayán and the Diocese of Cali . On June 29, 1966, the Diocese of Palmira gave up parts of its territory to establish the Diocese of Buga . The Diocese of Palmira is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Cali as a suffragan .
