The Roman Catholic Diocese of Quibdó ( lat. : Dioecesis Quibduana , span. : Diócesis de Quibdó ) is an in Colombia situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Quibdó .

history

The diocese of Quibdó was on November 14, 1952 by Pope Pius XII. established from the cession of territory by the diocese of Antioquía and the Apostolic Prefecture of Chocó as the Apostolic Vicariate of Quibdó . On April 30, 1990, the Vicariate Apostolic Quibdó was raised to a diocese by Pope John Paul II and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Santa Fe de Antioquia as a suffragan .
