The Diocese of Rajkot ( Latin Dioecesis Raikotensis ) is a diocese of the Syro-Malabar Church with its seat in Rajkot in India, united with the Roman Catholic Church . It includes the districts of Amreli , Bhavnagar , Jamnagar , Junagadh , Porbandar , Rajkot , Surendranagar and Kachchh in the Indian state of Gujarat .

history

Pope Paul VI founded it with the Apostolic Constitution De recta fidelium on February 26, 1977 from cession of territory by the diocese of Ahmedabad and subordinated it to the archbishopric of Bombay as a suffragan diocese .

On November 11, 2002, it became part of the Church Province of the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar .
