Bjorn Grundies

Björn Grundies (* 1974 in Stralsund ) is a German actor.

Life

Grundies studied at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig and was also employed as an actor at the Leipziger Schauspielhaus . There mainly worked with the director Konstanze Lauterbach and the director Wolfgang Engel. In 1997 he received the individual award of the Vontobel Foundation in Zurich for his portrayal of Buenco in Clavigo , directed by Wolfgang Engel . From 1998 to 2004 he was engaged at the Thalia Theater Hamburg under the direction of Jürgen Flimm and Ulrich Khuon . I.a. he worked there with directors such as Robert Wilson , Lou Reed , Armin Petras , Martin Kušej , Stephan Kimmig , Jürgen Kruse , Tillmann Gersch , Ute Rauwald , Hans Ulrich Becker and Jürgen Flimm. He then worked for three seasons, from 2002 to 2005, in the television series Alphateam - Die Lebensretter im OP .

He has been a freelance actor since 2005. He was u. a. in productions like Reine Formsache , Girl , Schmidt ist Billiger , Die Pfefferkörner and Eugenes Welt . From 2009 to 2010 Grundies played the role of the mentally ill Harry Lugauer in the ARD -Telenovela Sturm der Liebe . In 2013 he was a guest actor at the Saarbrücken State Theater .

Grundies is co-author of the book Anderes Ufer, Andere Sitten .

His sister is the writer and radio play author Ariane Grundies .
