Blankenstein is a district of the Saxon town of Wilsdruff in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

history

Blankenstein is a Waldhufendorf and was first mentioned in 1283. From 1547 it belonged to the Meissen Hereditary Office and from 1843 to the Meißen Office. The basic rule was the manor Rothschönberg. Since 1952 Blankenstein was in the area of the Freital district (later the district ). On January 1, 1974, the place was incorporated into Helbigsdorf. This community was renamed on December 1, 1994 in Helbigsdorf-Blankenstein . Since 1994 Blankenstein has belonged to the district of Meißen . On January 1, 1996, the place was incorporated into Wilsdruff. In 1998 Wilsdruff and thus also Helbigsdorf-Blankenstein were incorporated into the Weißeritz district. In 2008 Helbigsdorf-Blankenstein came to the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains .
