Kaufbach is a district of the Saxon town of Wilsdruff in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

history

Kaufbach was first mentioned in a document in 1281 as "Cofbach". The place is laid out as a forest hoof village. Kaufbach has been part of the Freital district (later the district ) since 1952 . On January 1, 1973, the previously independent place was incorporated into Wilsdruff. From 1994 Kaufbach belonged to the district of Meißen . In 1998 Kaufbach was transferred from the district of Meißen to the Weißeritz district . In 2008 the district of Wilsdruffer became part of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .
