The blue heads are 3061  m above sea level. A. high mountain peaks of the Glockner group in East Tyrol . They were first committed in 1857 by JA Specht, A. Wachtler with Chr. Ranggetiner in the course of crossing the Long Wall until the eagle rest .

The Blue Heads are located in the south of the Glockner Group in the core zone of the Hohe Tauern National Park . It is located in the northeast of the municipality of Kals am Großglockner near the border with Carinthia . The Blue Heads are a chain of peaks and ridges, of which three peaks can be considered independent three-thousanders . They have a height of 3135  m above sea level. Promotion opportunities

The Blue Heads are extremely seldom and are only of historical alpinistic relevance. They are occasionally used by summit collectors, with an ascent from the Leitertal valley. The peaks of the Blue Heads can all only be reached by climbing ( II-III ), on one of the peaks there is a support for the material cable car to the Adlersruhe.
