The census on December 1, 1900 showed a population of 17 with 3 residential buildings, the census of June 16, 1925 28 inhabitants with an unchanged 3 residential buildings. The first post-war census in Bavaria on September 13, 1950 with 27 inhabitants differed only slightly from the 1925 result, the number of residential buildings was again three.

On May 25, 1987 - on July 1, 1972, the municipality of Zell was dissolved and incorporated with Blauhof into the city of Dietfurt ad Altmühl - the Bavarian census only resulted in 11 residents and 2 residential buildings. Today four house numbers are assigned.

Ecclesiastically, Blauhof belonged to the Catholic parish Altmühlmünster in the dean's office Pförring of the diocese of Regensburg.
