The Bleiberg nature reserve is located in the area of the town of Schleiz in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia . It extends southeast of Isabellengrün , a district of Burgk , on the western bank of the Saale and north of the Bleilochtalsperre .

The 12.8 hectare area with the NSG no. 171 was placed under nature protection in 1981.
