The Weißacker nature reserve is located in the area of ​​the town of Neustadt an der Orla in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia . It extends east of Lichtenau , a district of Neustadt an der Orla. The state road L 1077 runs through the area, the L 1110 runs along the southern edge. The northwest flowing Grünbach has its source in the nature reserve .
