Pale Face Junior (Original title: Son of Paleface ) is an American western comedy directed by Frank Tashlin from 1952 with Bob Hope , Jane Russell and Roy Rogers in the lead roles.

action

Peter Potter Junior is graduating from university. He drives his automobile west to take on the legacy of his heroic father. Instead of the expected gold, he meets his father's creditors, who are all waiting for their money. He can appease her for the time being.

In the city's saloon, Junior Potter discovers the beautiful dancer Mike. He flashes off with his advances. Without knowing it, he fell in love with a notorious gang leader who made the environment unsafe. On her heels is government agent Roy Barton, who poses as a singing cowboy.

Mike is eventually arrested by Barton. Potter Junior, who can hardly save himself from the creditors, finds a map with a friend that shows him the way to gold. Its discovery does not go unnoticed. Meanwhile, Mike's gang goes into business for themselves. Mike escapes from prison.

Junior Potter reaches the abandoned city in his automobile where the gold is and discovers his friend dead. Barton arrives a little later and suspects Junior Potter, who after an interrogation tries to escape in vain. Mike comes riding into town the next day and can neutralize both of them by tying them up. When the Indians attack, she leaves the city, but returns and helps them defend. During the Indian raid, Junior Potter finds the gold.

All three can successfully escape the city. Junior Potter and Mike make it with the automobile and Barton with his horse. Mike promises to marry Junior Potter if they escape the Indians. They succeed in outpacing the Indians. Barton finds the bandits' hideout and secures the booty after a fight. After serving his prison sentence, Junior Potter can hug Mike with a crowd of children.

"Burlesque, accurate spoofing of the Wild West cinema with many catchy songs."
