BlizzCon

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

BlizzCon is a computer game fair of the game manufacturer Blizzard Entertainment . The main topics are the company's productions.

General information

BlizzCon 2007 opens

BlizzCon has been held annually since 2005 (with the exception of 2006 and 2012) at the Anaheim Convention Center (California, USA). It is primarily used to present the company's new games and game content, and esports competitions are also held for the company's own games. In 2012, the fair was suspended on the official grounds that the company wanted to focus on the releases of its games Diablo 3 , StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm and World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria .

A similarly conceived event was the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational , which was held a total of four times between 2004 and 2008 and took place outside the United States.

  2. "The 2018 BlizzCon book incorrectly references winners of StarCraft tournaments in 2007, 2008, and 2014. In fact, these titles are vacant, as the players were discovered to have participated in match-fixing." StarCraft Esports (Verified account) - twitter.com
