The medical student Milla is to research a lecture on the subject of medicine for her lecturer Ms. Schwarz. Actually, Milla doesn't think much of supernatural hocus-pocus. This does not change either when she and her friends Alexandra, Jeanette and Stefanie find an old Bible that dates from the time of the witch hunts. The friends steal the 500-year-old Bible and try out the sayings and their magical rituals for fun. And when their wishes actually come true, they can hardly believe it. Little do they know that they have unleashed a dark force that has deadly consequences for everyone.

On September 20, 2011 ProSieben announced the production of the thriller The Bible of Blood with Esther Schweins and Jasmin Lord in the leading roles.

The shooting took place from September 15 to October 31, 2011. After the completion of the film, the title was changed to Blood Sisters - Too Young to Die and a broadcast date was set for autumn 2012 in the ProSieben program. In November 2012, Sat.1 announced its plans for 2013, in which the film was listed as a free TV premiere, but under the new title Blood Sisters - Young, Magical, Deadly .

The film was released on DVD and Blu-ray on January 30, 2013. A trailer and a making of are planned as bonus material .
