Jo Heim (born January 8, 1958 in Stuttgart ) is a German cameraman .

Life

After graduating with a degree in business administration from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , Jo Heim studied at the University of Television and Film Munich . In 1986 he made his debut as a cameraman for a feature film. Since then, Heim has been making music videos, commercials as well as cinema and television films, including Welcome to the Hartmanns , men's hearts , 7 dwarfs - men alone in the forest , brandmarks and night over Berlin . In addition to his camera work, Heim lectures at film schools in Germany and Europe.

Heim received the honorary award of the German Camera Award 2017, the Bavarian Film Award 2015 for Unfriend and One Last Tango as well as the Grimme Award 2012 for The Midwife - Auf Leben und Tod . It was nominated four times for the German Camera Award and twice for the German Television Award for Image Design.

Jo Heim is a member of the German Film Academy . He currently lives in Cologne .
