Kristina Dörfer (born July 26, 1984 in Wurzen , Saxony ), also known by her stage name Kr! S , is a German rock and pop singer and actress .

Life

Origin and start of career

Kristina Dörfer was born the first of two children. Together with her younger brother Alexander, she grew up with her mother in the small town of Wurzen in Saxony until she was 18 . Even in elementary school she was very interested in music and began studying the violin . She made her first vocal performance in her hometown at the age of ten. From this point on, villages gained regional fame and were booked for various events.

In 2002 Dörfer was cast on RTL II for the Teenstar show . In the same year she received the Bravo Award for the 1000 schools in motion campaign . The award ceremony took place in Europa-Park .

In 2003, Dörfer took part in the casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar broadcast by RTL , where it made it into the last fifty.

After moving to the Ruhr area, Dörfer began her professional career as a singer and sang in two bands from the Dortmund area at the same time. With the Soulsukkers she laid the foundation stone for her love for soul music and with Soundset , a well-known cover band, she laid the foundation stone for her current career in rock and pop.

A year later she was cast by the TV station ProSieben for the show Popstars - Jetzt oder nie . On December 8, 2004 she became a member of the pop band Nu Pagadi, which was formed as part of the show . The first joint single Sweetest Poison stormed the German charts and also reached the top of the charts in Austria and Switzerland. The jointly released debut album Your Dark Side was also number one in the sales charts in Germany for a week. Due to musical and personal differences, however, the band broke up in September 2005, nine months after their formation.

Dörfer pursued her solo career from October 2005. She was signed to the German record label Edel SE . Her first single Room for More was released on June 19, 2006, after she had already played several concerts in various European countries. In Finland and the Czech Republic, the single entered the charts. In addition, the Czech car manufacturer Škoda used the song as background music for a commercial for the newly launched Roomster model .

From December 29, 2006 to September 24, 2009 Kristina Dörfer played the role of Olivia Schneider in the ARD evening series Verbotene Liebe . At the end of 2012 she could be seen on Sat1 in Heart and Heart and played the role of Tamara in the main cast . Since episode 2329 in 2015, she played the role of Alexandra Auerbach in the telenovela Sturm der Liebe .

Private

Kristina Dörfer has been in a relationship with the German actor Joscha Kiefer since 2008 . Their daughter was born in September 2010. The two married in December 2012. The second daughter was born in April 2013.
