The women's skeleton competition at the 2020 Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championships was held in four runs on February 28 and 29. Like all competitions at the World Championships, it was held on the ENSO ice track in Altenberg .

The German Skeletonis used their home advantage and all four German starters were among the top five. The surprise world champion was Christopher Grotheer , who was not used in the World Cup in the 2019/20 season and was only able to start thanks to Felix Keisinger's junior world champion title . Although Axel Jungk set the fastest time in three out of four races, he had to be content with second place. Alexander Gassner secured bronze . For the second time since 1991 , all three medalists came from the same country.
