Bobbie Friberg Da Cruz (born February 16, 1982 ) is a Swedish football player . The son of a Swede and a Cape Verde plays on the defensive.

Career

Career start in Sweden

Friberg Da Cruz started playing football at IF Stendy . He later moved to the youth department of GAIS . His debut in the first team took place on April 13, 2001 in the cup game against Söderhamns FF . A week later he was also on the field in the Superettan , but had to accept a 2-0 defeat against Assyriska Föreningen . In total, he played 18 games in the second division in his debut season. Although the team was relegated to Division 2 at the end of the season , Friberg Da Cruz remained loyal to the club. In the third division he was able to establish himself as a regular player and in 2003 celebrated his return to the second division.

Two years later, Friberg Da Cruz was promoted to Allsvenskan with GAIS . There, too, he belongs to the tribe of the team and placed with the club in the lower midfield in the following two years. He also drew attention outside of Sweden, in January 2008 he was tested by Hertha BSC in the winter training camp. In June 2008 it was announced that Friberg Da Cruz would move to Randers FC after the end of the 2008 season .

Years abroad

At the side of Marc Nygaard , Tobias Grahn , Kasper Lorentzen and Mikkel Beckmann , Friberg Da Cruz immediately established himself in the regular formation at his new Danish employer. Although he finished with the team only the fifth place at the end of the season, on the UEFA Respect Fair Play ranking of the UEFA Randers FC drew yet one in the European Cup. After successes over Linfield FC and Sūduva Marijampolė , he reached the third qualifying round of the 2009/10 UEFA Europa League with the club , but failed there at the German representative Hamburger SV . Also in the subsequent Super League season 2009/10 he was one of the regular players for long stretches.

In late January 2010, Friberg Da Cruz asked to leave the club on loan to Kongsvinger IL . Until the end of the Tippeligaen season 2010 he should play for the previous year's climber and contribute to the fight to stay up.

From 2005 to 2007 Friberg Da Cruz's brother Johan also played in the GAIS first team.
