Bogucice ( German Boguschitz ) is a village with a Schulzenamt of the rural municipality Bochnia in Powiat Bocheński of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship , Poland .
geography
The place is on the right bank of the Raba River .
The districts are: Banie, Kopalina, Machnowiec, Niemiecka Wieś (literally: German village ), Podolszynie, Przedewsie, Zaolszynie.
The neighboring towns are Bessów in the north, Bratucice in the east, Zatoka in the southeast, Majkowice in the southwest, Mikluszowice in the west.
history
The place was first mentioned in 1285.
When Poland was first partitioned , Bogucice became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire in 1772 (from 1804).
In 1783, in the course of the Josephine colonization, German colonists of the Lutheran and Reformed denominations were settled there. They belonged to the parish in Gawłów . They were Polonized by the end of the 19th century. In 1900 the whole village had 735 inhabitants, all of them Polish-speaking, 669 Roman Catholic, 13 Jews and 53 other beliefs (mostly Protestant).
In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Bogucice became part of Poland. This was interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II , during which it belonged to the Generalgouvernement .
From 1975 to 1998 Bogucice was part of the Tarnów Voivodeship .
