Bogusław Kierc
Bogusław Kierc (born January 22, 1943 in Bielsko-Biała ) is a Polish poet , actor , director and essayist .
Life
Kierc was born in Bielsko-Biała and attended the technical high school there. In 1961 he made his debut as a poet with the poem Narodziny Wenus , which was published in the Kronika Beskidzka , and joined the literary group Skarabeusz , of which he was a member until 1963.
After graduating from high school in 1963, he began studying acting at the State Theater School ( Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Teatralna ) in Kraków . In 1965, while still a student, he played a leading role (Krzysztof Cedro) in the film Popioły , directed by Andrzej Wajda . In 1967 he finished his studies. In 1968 he made his stage debut with the play Igraszki z diabłem by Jan Drda at the Contemporary Theater in Wroclaw , where he worked until 1972. In the following years he worked at theaters in Rzeszów and Zielona Góra . From 1970 to 1972 he belonged to the literary group Ugrupowanie 66 . In 1971 his first volume of poetry, Nagość stokrotna, was published . In 1976 he returned to the Contemporary Theater in Wroclaw.
In the 1982/83 season he was artistic director at the puppet theater in Wałbrzych , where he worked as a director from 1986 to 1990 .
From 1990 to 1992 he was art director at the Contemporary Theater in Szczecin . From 1992 to 2000 he worked at the Polish Theater in Wroclaw and since 2000 again at the Contemporary Theater there.
He lives in Wroclaw .
