Bohdaniwka ( Ukrainian Богданівка ; Russian Богдановка Bogdanowka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Mykolaiv with about 1,600 inhabitants (2009).
geography
The village is located on the right bank of the Southern Bug and is connected by a ferry to the Kostyantynivka urban-type settlement on the opposite bank , the nearby city of Yuzhnoukrajinsk and the national road 24 / regional road P-06 . Bohdaniwka is located about 30 km northeast of the Domanivka district center and 125 km northwest of the Mykolaiv oblast center .
Bohdaniwka is the administrative center of the same name, 167.22 km² District Municipality in northeastern Rajon Domaniwka to which even the villages Wynohradnyj Sad ( Виноградний Сад ) Kalynivka ( Калинівка ) Kujbyschewka ( Куйбишевка ) Marjiwka ( Мар'ївка ) Petriwka ( Петрівка ) and Tscherwonyj Kyiv ( Червоний Київ ) belong.
Buskyj Hard National Park is located near the village ( Національний природний парк «Бузький Гард» ).
history
The village, founded in 1775, was built on one, since the 16./17. Century known settlement of the Zaporozhian Cossacks .
In Bohdaniwka there was the in World War II by the authorities of the Romanian crew region Transnistria scale, the same extermination camp in the 1941/1942 about 50,000, mostly from Odessa and Bessarabia coming, Jews were killed.
