Domaniwka ( Ukrainian Доманівка ; Russian Доманёвка Domanjowka ) is an urban-type settlement in southern Ukraine in the northwest of Mykolaiv Oblast with about 6100 inhabitants (2016). Domanivka is the administrative center of the raion of the same name .
geography
Domanivka is 130 km northwest of the Oblast center Mykolaiv on the river Chortala ( Чортала ), a 37 km long right tributary of the southern bow . The nearest town is Yuzhnoukrajinsk 43 km northeast of the settlement and the nearest train station is in Voznesensk , 45 km east of the village.
In addition to Domaniwka, the villages also belong to the settlement council
- Sabary ( Забари ) with about 250 inhabitants
- Sbroschkowe ( Зброшкове ) with about 260 inhabitants
- Kasarynske ( Казаринське ) with about 10 inhabitants
- Chortalka ( Чорталка ) with about 70 inhabitants.
history
The village was founded in 1805. The village was occupied by Wehrmacht troops on August 5, 1941 , and liberated by Red Army troops on March 28, 1944 . Domanivka has had urban-type settlement status since 1956.

Domaniwka is the administrative seat of the Rajons of the same name, founded in 1924. The Rajon Domaniwka km² 26,000 inhabitants and an area of the 1458th The population density is 18 inhabitants per km². In the southwest the Rajon borders on the Odessa Oblast .
