Boissy-Maugis is a former French commune with the last 358 inhabitants (as of 2013) in the Orne department . Today Boissy-Maugis is part of the large commune ( Commune nouvelle ) Cour-Maugis sur Huisne , but did not receive the status of a Commune déléguée in the course of the incorporation .

The place Boissy-Maugis is located in the Regional Nature Park Perche about 54 km east of Alençon and about 17 km southeast of Mortagne-au-Perche at an altitude of about 140 m . The climate is influenced to a large extent by the sea and is therefore almost frost-free; Rain (approx. 665 mm / year) falls throughout the year.

A priory of the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Paris) has already been documented in Merovingian times . In the Middle Ages the place belonged to the County of Perche . In the Hundred Years War (1337-1453) there were attacks by the English. Otherwise, the place was away from the great events of world history.

- The walled and fastened with two Eckrundtürmen character Manoir de la Moussetière ( 48 ° 26 '46 " N , 0 ° 42' 42" O ) from the 16th century. It has been recognized as a monument historique since 1980 .
- The St. Parish church consecrated to Germanus of Paris (Église Saint-Germain-de-Paris) was originally a priory church of the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris . The current church is a neo-Gothic building from the 19th century.
Surroundings
- Located in the forest about 5 km northeast of the village and around 3500 BC. The Neolithic Dolmen de la Grosse-Pierre ( 48 ° 27 ′ 59 ″ N , 0 ° 45 ′ 1 ″ E ) is one of only a few testimonies from the time of the megalithic cultures in southeastern Normandy. It has been recognized as a Monument historique since 1949 .
