The Borstenbachtal is a nature reserve in the town of Bad Oeynhausen in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). It is around 28 hectares and is listed under the name MI-056.
The Borstenbach area is located east of the Lohe district and west of the Weser along Autobahn 2 . It borders directly on the Borstenbach nature reserve in Vlotho in the Herford district .
The Borstenbachtal is a unique brook valley in the Minden-Lübbecke district due to its special closeness to nature . The protection should serve to maintain and restore this diverse structured biotope complex . The biotope is a refuge for rare and endangered animal and plant species with its rivers and perennials , its wet meadows and fallow land and its orchards . The brook- alder - ash forest and the alder- willow forest are particularly worthy of protection .
