Robert Bosch Power Tools , the Power Tools Division of Robert Bosch GmbH , claims to be a leading global supplier of power tools. Bosch Power Tools supplies power tools , power tool accessories, measurement technology and garden tools. In addition to its own products (Bosch blue for commercial use, Bosch green for do-it-yourselfers) there are other brands in the group of companies, such as Dremel , Aresi, Freud, Hawera, Standall and Sia Abrasives . Bosch also supplies other power tool brands as an OEM supplier.

The headquarters of the division is in Leinfelden-Echterdingen . Henk Becker has been the Chairman of the Management Board since January 1, 2019. He succeeds Henning von Boxberg. Lennart de Vet and Stephan Hölzl were newly appointed to the management team on January 1, 2019.

history

In 1928, the Forfex hair clipper , an original power tool in terms of its design, was presented.

At the Leipzig Trade Fair in 1932 , the first series-produced drilling machine was presented, which could rotate and hit at the same time.

The development of the jigsaw began in 1944 , this scroll saw with a tool open on one side was invented by the Swiss Albert Kaufmann, and Scintilla AG brought it onto the market in 1947.

In November 1999 Bosch took over the majority of the shares in the manufacturer of hammer drills, chisels and drill bits Aresi SpA in Brembate . This in turn was acquired by Standall in Mickley Lane near Sheffield , a well-known manufacturer of chisels for power tools , on February 21, 2011 .

CST / berger is a leading manufacturer of measuring devices, laser devices, theodolites and magnetic detectors, which Bosch took over from Stanley Works in 2008 .

Bosch pursues a two-brand strategy, offers the products of the acquired companies in its own program, but the goods are also marketed under the previously known names or supplied to other brands as OEM products.
