Braach is a district of Rotenburg an der Fulda in East Hesse in the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg .
Geographical location
The place is on the Fulda . The state road 3208 runs through the village , the federal road 83 passes north of the place .
history
The place is mentioned for the first time in the year 769, under the place name Bracho in the list of goods Breviarium Sancti Lulli of the monastery Hersfeld . The place was next to Seifertshausen a place of jurisdiction in the lower court of the Hessian district Rotenburg .
In 1967 the town became the national winner in the competition: “ Our village should become more beautiful ”.
On December 31, 1971, the previously independent municipality of Braach was incorporated into the city of Rotenburg an der Fulda as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
