Seifertshausen is a district of Rotenburg an der Fulda in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in East Hesse . In 2009 it celebrated its 750th anniversary.

Seifertshausen is located in the district of Rotenburg , on the on the Stölzinger height of the Schwalm-Eder district and Werra-Meissner limits. The place is located in the valley of the Haselbach , a right-hand tributary of the Fulda , embedded between the ridges of the Stölzinger Mountains only about 2 km northeast of the 549 m high Alheimer .
To the north, towards Waldkappel or Spangenberg , you reach Dankerode. If you drive the country road 3226 in a southerly direction via Erkshausen and Schwarzenhasel, you reach the federal road 83 , on which the district Lispenhausen and Rotenburg an der Fulda are located. There is a connection to the rail network of Deutsche Bahn .

history
Seifertshausen, which was first mentioned in 1259 and used to be an independent municipality , belonged to the Hessian office of Rotenburg ( Rotenburger Quart ). The place was next to Braach a court seat for the lower court.
On August 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality of Seifertshausen was incorporated into the city of Rotenburg an der Fulda as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
