course

The Haselbach rises and flows in the northern part of the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in the Fulda-Werra-Bergland , part of the East Hessian highlands. Its source is in the center of the Stölzinger Mountains about 1.5 km north of Dankerode , a northern district of Rotenburg an der Fulda . It is located west of the 485.8  m above sea level. NHN high Mosenberg at almost 380  m altitude.

Initially, the Haselbach flows south-south-west to and through Dankerode, only to then run south through Seifertshausen , Erkshausen and Schwarzenhasel . It then flows through the Haselgrund nature reserve near Schwarzenhasel, founded in 1991 and covering 23 hectares (NSG no. 163541).

The Haselbach then leaves the Stölzinger Mountains and flows through Lispenhausen , an eastern district of Rotenburg, where it crosses the federal highway 83 and then the Bebra-Baunatal-Guntershausen railway line . A little southwest of the village , it flows into the Weser source river Fulda coming from the southeast at an altitude of about 185  m .
