The place is located in Haselgrund , the valley of the northern Fulda tributary Haselbach in the Stölzinger Mountains . Rotenburg an der Fulda is located southwest of the town. State road 3226 runs through Erkshausen .

history

The village was first mentioned in 1274.

On August 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality of Erkshausen was incorporated into the city of Rotenburg an der Fulda as part of the regional reform in Hesse .

Culture and sights

The Protestant church is in the center of the village.
