Brandon Brooks (born June 28, 1987 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American basketball player . After studying in his home country, Brooks turned professional and played in Germany and Israel as well as for the Tulsa 66ers from the NBA Development League (D-League).

Career

After high school in Euless , Brooks went to study at the junior college "North Lake" in Irving (Texas) within the "Dallas-Fort-Worth-Metroplex". After two years, during which he also played for the university team Blazers in the "National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association" (NJCAA), he then switched to further studies in 2007 at Alabama State University , whose university team Hornets in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play the NCAA . The Hornets twice achieved the best record among the SWAC teams, but only won the championship tournament in 2009. Then the Hornets had to go to the "Opening Round" or qualifying round for the national NCAA finals , in which they lost significantly to the Eagles of Morehead State University .

In 2009 Brooks turned pro and signed a contract for the 2009/10 basketball league with the Eisbären from Bremerhaven . These had previously been bottom of the table and had only achieved relegation by purchasing a " wild card ". With a new coach and a changed squad, the Eisbären reached the play-offs for the German championship again, in which they surprisingly beat the “freshly minted” EuroChallenge winner BG 74 Göttingen in the final seconds of the decisive game in Göttingen. In the following round, even in the extension of the decisive game in front of their own audience, they missed entry into the final series for the championship. Then Brooks got no new contract and returned to his home country, where he played for the 66ers from Tulsa in the D-League. These were also eliminated in the semi-final series of the D-League championship.

2011 Brooks returned to the basketball league again and played in the 2011/12 season for Bremerhaven's league rivals Phoenix from Hagen , for whom it was only enough to keep up. In the following season he first played in the second Israeli league Leumit for Hapoel from Kfar Saba . In December 2012, however, it was decided to terminate the contract and Brooks returned to the Tulsa 66ers in late March 2013.
